Description of Work: Provide consulting services for schools in North Carolina via professional development to further enhance the overall development of the faculty and staff. I will present Evidence-based Instructional strategies that address rigor, relevance, and relationships. All sessions are interactive and fun. I will create customized professional development that fits the needs of your school. Believe I Can Learn Consulting team also provides students with tutoring, enrichment, and remediation camps.
New Teacher Support Assistance: I offer support for beginning teachers, including professional development, newsletters, open communication after 5 pm, instructional support, support resources, teacher talks, professional learning communities, and an online teacher support community.
Differentiation Workshop: The presenter focuses on a “One Size Doesn’t Fit All” approach to academic excellence. The presenter will introduce the staff to differentiation, teaching them to create class profiles using data. The presenter will teach the staff strategies to successfully make differentiation work in their classroom. The presenter will guide the staff on how to use data to drive their instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of their learners. The presenter will help staff realize students learn differently. Teachers can no longer teach the lesson and hope everyone gets it. Teachers must consider each student based on their needs, readiness, preferences, and interests. The presenter will make the transition easier for all staff that resists differentiation.
High Yield Teaching Strategy Workshop: The presenter focuses on Marzano’s Nine High Yield Instructional Strategies. The staff will create a flip chart of the strategies and will have the opportunity to see how each strategy looks in the classroom. The presenter will teach some important material from Classroom Instruction that Works: Research-based strategies for increasing achievement so that teachers will never forget the strategy.
EOG Explosion Workshop: The presenter focuses on helping teachers with strategies to help all students become proficient in Math and Reading. The presenter will show teachers why academic vocabulary is essential to teach students and how to teach it so students can remember the academic vocabulary. The staff will learn instructional strategies that are proven to work using evidence-based strategies.
Classroom Management Workshop: The presenter focuses on creating a positive classroom environment where all students are well-managed. The presenter discusses how building relationships is the key to decreasing classroom disruptions. The presenter focuses on the need for relationships in the classroom and the importance of classroom rules and procedures. Teachers will learn new strategies to decrease discipline issues while increasing classroom management and test scores.
Motivational Strategies for Disadvantaged Students Workshop: The presenter focuses on engaging students to increase test scores. The presenter will teach educators how to incorporate chants, raps, songs, and movements that they can integrate into their existing math and reading curriculum. The presenter will show staff members how to engage disadvantaged learners and make instruction relevant.
